A Letter Regarding the arrest of Ben Zion Daikowsky - 1938
A letter sent from the South District Commissioner on August 18 1938, discussing the arrest of Daikowsky. The letter was sent to Tzadok Avraham Chelouche.
Ben Zion Daikowsky was the director of the commercial department of the Electric Company from its early days, and by virtue of his position he was responsible for the company's electricity marketing in Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Among his clients were Meir Dizengoff, the mayor of Tel Aviv and his wife Tsina, who were the first residents of the city he managed to convince to connect to electricity in 1923. Due to his revisionist views, he was arrested in 1938 by the British government and thrown into the Acre prison for two months. (Source: Wikipedia).
28X20 cm. Good general condition: some tears and puncture marks.
