Judaica - Original antique Jewish silver amulet from the Near East , 19th century, a fertility & luck blessing amulet for: "Yidida Bat Michal"
An original silver amulet, all engraved and hammered by hand and in excellent condition. The amulet is from the Near East region and was made in the 19th century by a silver goldsmith.
OriginalJewish silver amulets from the 19th century, of this type, are rare because they were usually melted down after a period had passed and the raw material, silver, was used to make a new amulet which was needed (Most Jews in those regions were very poor, silver was extremly expensive).
The amulet is attached to a handmade and antique silver chain.
Very good condition with light wear.
The height of the amulet is about 8 cm.
