Letter from the Holy Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Tzvi Levin Rabbi of Bendin ( son-in-law of the Sefas Emes of Gur), to the Rav of Jerusalem HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld.
Hand written letter from the renowned Holy Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Tzvi HaKohen Levin Gab"d of Bendin and its environs (son-in-law of Hrh"k the Sefas Emes of Gur, brother-in-law of Hrh"k the Imrei Emes of Gur) to the Great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld Rav of Jerusalem and Gab"d of the Eidah HaChareidit and Agudat Yisrael in Israel.

The letter is dated, Thursday, Parashat Vayakheil Pekudai 1922, and deals with an ongoing issue, asking for assistance to verify the fate of a youth who was born in Israel, left to Bendin with his family, and returned by himself from the diaspora to Israel, from there the whereabouts of him disappears.

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Chanoch Tzvi HaKohen Levin of Bendin [1870-1935] Was revered Rav in Bendin, son-in-law of the Hrh"k 'Sefas Emes' and brother-in-law of Hrh"k The 'Imrei Chaim' of Gur, from the important Rabbanim of Poland, from the outstanding leaders of the Torah Jewry, and from the founders of Agudat Yisrael and member of the Moetzet Gedolai HaTorah.
The bond between The Gaon of Bendin and the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld was very tight all the years, a relationship of mutual admiration and an exchange of letters on timely matters.
In these years the controversy between Moron Avrahan Yitzchok Hakohen Kook and the people of Moron Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld was burning strong. A delegation of great and important Rabbanim from Poland arrived to try to settle things and bring peace. At the head of the delegation was the brother-in-law of the Rav of Bendin, the 'Imrei Emes' of Gur, and accompanying him were leaders of the Polish Jewry,  the Rav of Bendin, the Admo"r Rabbi Yitzchok Zelig of Sokolov and Rabbi Yitzchok Meir Levin son of the Rav of Bendin and who was later the leader of Agudat Yisrael.

 Filing holes, and fold marks. Few light stains in the margin. Very good condition.
