Greeting letter with the signature of the Holy Admo"r Rabbi Yosef-Yitzchak Schneersohn (the “Rayatz”), sixth Rebbe in the Lubavitch (Chabad) dynasty. New York, before Rosh Hashanah 1948\9.
Letter of blessing before Rosh Hashanah signed by the Holy Admo"r Rabbi Yosef-Yitzchak Schneersohn (the “Rayatz”) of Lubavitch, wrote to Rabbi Chaim Bezuza (a prominent Chasid of the 'Sefas Emes' of Gur, who came to live from Poland to the United States in the 1920's, he was one of the few Chassidim who was given permission from his rabbi not doubting his decline in the spirituality of his soul). This letter was written several months before the passing of the “Rayatz”.

Hrh"k Rabbi Yosef-Yitzchak Schneersohn (the “Rayatz”), [1880-1950], son of the The “Rebbe Rashab”. (Rabbi Sholom DovBer), served as the sixth Rebbe in the Lubavitch (Chabad) dynasty, after the passing of his father in the year 1920 he was appointed as Admo"r. He was renowned as a great warrior, greatly sacrificing himself in the Soviet establishment for the freedom of the Jews enabling them to fulfill the Religious Commandments. He was arrested for his activities, exiled and sentenced to death. The verdict was nullified due to the international pressure on the Soviet Union government. Later he went to live in the United States and toiled a lot for Judaism.
