Hand written long and rare letter from The Great and Holy Rabbi Yitzchok Zelig of Kotzk-Solkolov deliverer of salvations, one of the great leaders of the Jews in Poland he had a strong position in Agudat Yisrael against the Zionism and institutions in Eretz YIsrael, the mid 1930's.

Long letter all written by the hold hands of The Great Rabbi YItzchok Zelig Morgenstern of Solkolov–Kotzk one of the leaders of the Jews in Poland, calling the observant Chareidi Jews of Israel, to leave the National Council.

This  brings to light about the Chareidi leadership position of 'Agudat Yisrael' against the Zionism and their institutions.

One official page, 22x28cm, enlarged binding holes, very good condition.

The National Council was the body which ran the Jewish Agency of Israel and head of Zionism Jewish life in Eretz Yisrael –Palastine in the days of the Mandate, In all relevant fields: housing, immigration, education, and more. Agudat Yisrael and the Chareidi community opposed decisively for recognition and membership in the National Council, and after a long struggle they succeeded to bring about a decision that all men and women may notify about their leaving the National Council.

In this rare letter, The Admo"r of Solkolov conveys the position of the World Agudat Yisrael against members of the National Council and quieted the criticism by, supposedly making the 'leaving' a rift of hearts between the orthodox and particularly between the Jews in general.

Rabbi Yitzchok Zelig Morgenstern of Kotzk-Solkolov (1866-1940) Continued the ways of the Great Rabbi Mendel and his son Rabbi David of Kotzk, son of Rabbi Chaim Yisrael of Piluv known for his activities for the settlements of Israel through the Charaidi Orthodox, and his sefer 'Shalom Yerushalayim' and the establishment of 'Agudat HaElef' for the acquisition of the land of Israel.

He served as Rabbi in the city of Solkolov in Poland for about 40 years and also established a Yeshivah which reached up till hundreds of students. He served as one of the Orthodox Jewish leaders in Poland, and was one of the major founders of Agudat Yisrael movement, served as a member of Moetzas Gedolai HaTorah and one of its leaders.

In the year 1924 he visited together with a delegation headed by the Imrei Emes of Gur, whom he was very close with, and the Rav of Bendin in working to bring peace between parts of the community in Jerusalem and the old settlements, between the followers of HaRay"h Kook and the followers of HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld.

Thousands of Chassidim flocked to him to receive guidance and help, and his name was widespread as a Holy leader who's holy blessings where surely fulfilled.
