‘I Will No Longer Send Money to Your Kollel’. Letter Regarding Charity Sent to Kollel Shomrei Hachomos
Postcard sent to the heads of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos in Yerushalayim by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Dov Wieder of Carei, regarding donations which he sent to the Kollel and the way they were distributed. 1934.
The postcard was written during the week of Parshas Naso, and in it he complains that he never received any information or letter confirming the receipt of 1000 Lei – the Romanian currency. He threatens that if he continues to have no response, then he will stop sending money to this Kollel.
[1] letterhead postcard, entirely handwritten. Filing holes and scorch marks on the edges. Good condition.
