Handwritten postcard from the Gaon Rabbi Yoel Tzvi Roth, Admor of Tiszaszalka, author of the commentary “Me’at Tzari” on “Sefer Krisus” (grandson of the “Bnei Shileshim” of Kosson, and of the Gaon, author of the “Beis HaYotzer”) – blessings for “a year of redemption and salvation, children life and sustenance, abundance of blessing and success.”

The contents of the postcard are a call for urgent assistance. It appears that it was written at a time of great distress during the war or such. The postcard is written in block letters.

The Gaon Rabbi Yoel Tzvi Roth (passed in 1958, per Enc. Of Chassidus, vol.2 p.92) – Av Beis Din of Tiszaszalka and its environs. Was the grandson and namesake of the holy Gon Rabbi Yoel Tzvi, author of responsa “Beis HaYotzer” Married the daughter of the holy Rabbi Chaim Shlomo – the “Shemu’ah Tovah” of Kosson, son of the holy “Bnei Shileshim”. Rabbi Yoel Tzvi was famous for his immense knowledge of Shas Bavli and Yerushalmi, Sifra, Sifi, and other Medrashim, as well as the writings of the holy Arizal. Author of “Me’at Tzari” and the commentary “Sha’arei HaMIdos” of Sefer HaKrisus by Rabbi Shimon of Kinon.
