[4], 111, [1], 114-165, [1] leaves. 15 cm. Leaves 166-167 are missing. An additional title page for Sefer LeDavid Emet. Ownership notations in Sephardic script "הצעיר רפאל שם טוב ברכה". 


The printer, Rabbi Yisroel Bak, immigrated to Safed from Berditchev (Ukraine) in 1832 and founded a Hebrew printery. Two years later, the printery was destroyed and rebuilt, only to be destroyed again in the earthquake of 1837 that destroyed most of the city. Subsequently, Rabbi Yisroel Bak moved to Jerusalem and with the help of Sir Moses Montefiore, built his printery there. This book is one of the two last books that were printed in Safed by Rabbi Yisroel Bak, before his printery was destroyed. 


Semi-leather binding. Stains. Some moth holes. Blemish to the corner of the title page, not affecting the text. [2] missing leaves. Fair-good condition.
