Siddur Rabbi Yaakov Emden, Two Sections, Koretz 1863 Copy of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Leibel Alter, the Grandson of the Sefas Emes of Ger

The Beit Yaakov Siddur of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leibel Alter the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Nechemya Alter of Ger, the grandson of the holy Rav the Sefas Emes. Pedigreed! Koretz-Lemberg, 1863. 


Two sections of the Beit Yaakov Siddur 'פלטין בית אל העומד על שבעה עמודי שמם ונקרא אור שבעת הימים - וחלק שני ארמון עיר האלהים שערי שמים.

According to the title page, it was published in Koretz in 1863; however, the true place of printing was Lemberg, as indicated in the foreign language.


The copy had belonged to the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leibel Alter the beloved son of the holy Rav Rabbi Nechemya Alter of Ger the son of the holy Rav the Sefas Emes of Ger.

He received the Siddur as a gift for his wedding from his friend Rabbi Yechezkel Broin. Signatures and ownership notations of the Shadar Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Hacohen Feinstein.

The Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Leibel Alter, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Nechemya Alter of Ger, the  beloved son of the holy Rav the Sefas Emes. Immigrated to Jerusalem with his father and there he was married. Before the war, returned to Poland with his father's family, where they perished during the Holocaust. Only Rabbi Nechemya's daughter and his son-in-law, the holy Rav the Lev Simcha, survived the Holocaust and their son is the holy Admor of Ger Shlita. 


Complete. The last leaves are restored with paper, not affecting the text. Considerable wear, mainly to the Zemirot of Motza'ei Sabbath. Fine original binding, slightly detached. Good condition.
