Sefer Emek Avraham on Yoreh Deah in general and Hilchot Shechita and Treifot in particular, by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yerachmiel Bramberg of Luntshna. Bilgoray, 1917. The personal copy of famed Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin, with the stamp of the library of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. 


Bound with Sefer Zvi Vechamid. 

Author's stamp in Hebrew and a foreign language on the title page. 

On the flyleaf and title page, stamps of Meir Shapira the Av Beis Din and Ram of Piotrkow and library stamp of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. In Sefer Zvi Vechamid, an ownership notation from the time Rabbi Meir Shapiro lived in Sanok. 


The book accompanied Rabbi Meir Shapiro in Sanok, Piotrkow and Lublin. 


The venerated Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapiro Gaon Av Beis Din of Lublin (1887-1934). Founder of the illustrious Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva, president of Agudas Yisroel of Poland and originator of the idea of learning Daf Hayomi of Talmud Bavli.

Direct descendant of the holy Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz. Received his rabbinic and Hora'ah Semicha by his grandfather the Minchas Shai, the Machazeh Avraham of Brody, Rabbi Meir Arik, and the Maharsham of Berezhany. A leading Chassid of Rabbi Yisroel of Chortekov. The Rav of Gliniany, Sanok, Piotrków and eventually, Gaon Av Beis Din of Lublin, where he founded the glorious Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin. The Gaon had no children, yet used to say that he had two sons: the Daf HaYomi and Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin.
