letter handwritten by the Kabbalist Rabbi Yechizkiya Fisch of Hades-Mateszalka

Mysterious and fascinating letter handwritten by the holy Rav the Kabbalist Rabbi Yechizkiya Fisch of Hades-Mateszalka - written several days before the outbreak of World War II and asking for help with creating connections with "Bnei Moshe" living across the Sambation River to hasten the Geulah of Yisroel - Elul, 1939 - written on a postcard

Warm blessings for livelihood and Naches.

The postcard was written to two of his disciples living in Budapest, Rabbi Shmuel ben Fradle [Goldstein] and Rabbi Dov ben Tzviya.

At the beginning of the letter, the holy Rav writes his disciples that they should thank G-d for his mercies and adds his blessings for livelihood and Naches.

Then he introduces sources indicating the Geulah will come by means of Bnei Moshe living across the Sambation. Then he writes: "וכן כתב זקיני בעל בני יששכר זי"ע [the holy Rav of Mateszalka's father-in-law, Rabbi Yisroel Waldman of Borsha, was the grandson of the Bnei Yissachar] בס'[פר] כלי הרואים שלו אשר על עובדי' ע"פ 'ועלו מושיעים בהר ציון', וז"ל: מקובל בידינו, מושיעים הם בני משה אשר סגורים מעבר לנהר סמבטיון הן המה יעלו בהר ציון, עכ"ל". Then he writes a short historical review of the attempts to identify the Sambation and cross it. He asks his disciples to arrange meetings with people who find interest in the subject and are devoted to it and with people who are experts on Asian maps and especially, with philanthropists who can support his trip across the Sambation. At the end of the letter he writes: "והשי"ת יהא בעוזרנו והוא יגמור בעדינו לטובת כלל ישראל בניו בקרוב בקרוב למען כבוד שמו".

He also writes that he has intentionally avoided appealing to his Hades friend Dr. Rabiner Frankel since he does not want to connect with the evil even for such a noble cause.

The addressee's address appears on the postcard: Goldstein Shmuel, Budapest.
