Rare Approbation Document - Handwritten Entirely by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyoshiv

Rare and special approbation document  handwritten entirely by the greaty Gaon Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyoshiv to his disicple the Gaon Rabbi Meir Weinstock.


The Gaon Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyoshiv notes that he had corresponded with him and also saw a Kuntres on matters of Kodashim which indicated vast knowledge and wisdom. 

The Gaon Rabbi Yosef Sholom Elyoshiv blesses him: שיזכה לשבת ולהגביר חיילים בתורה, ללון בעמקי הלכה ולאסוקי שמעתתא אליבא דהלכתא.

אם ימשיך בהתמדתו בלימודו לאילנא רברי יתעבד ורבים יאותו לאורו.


Maran Posek Hador Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyoshiv [1910-2012] was born in Lithuania to his parents the Gaon Rabbi Avraham and his mother, the daughter of Maran the Leshem. In 1924, he immigrated with his family to the Holy Land, living all his life in the Meah She'arim neighborhood, in never-ending study of the Torah. Served as Dayan of the supreme Rabbinic Beis Din. Became the son-in-law of the Jerusalemite Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Levin. Was renowned for his genius and diligence. He was daily sent Halachic questions from all over the world. Eventually, he became the greatest Posek Hador of his generation and one of the leaders of Chareidi Jewry.
