Gevurot Aryeh. Single edition of the Chassidic book. Copy with the stamp of Maran the Abir Yaakov of Sadigura and with handwritten Hazkarot of names of Chassidim. Incomplete copy of the Lemberg 1870 edition. 


On the flyleaf, the stamp in a foreign language  of Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman of Sadigura. 

On the flyleaf, the important Chassid Rabbi Shmuel Akerman wrote 'I have given this holy book as a gift to the Admor Shalita of Sadigura'. On one of the pages, he wrote the name of his mother who passed away in 1921 and on a second page, Hazkarah of his father's soul, Rabbi Yosef Moshe, from 1916. 


Incomplete copy: the title page and leaf with the approbations by teh Tzaddikim of Sadigura-Ruzhin, including the Abir Yaakov's grandfather, the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov the first of Sadigura, is missing. 

Leaf 65 of Sefer Gevurot Aryeh is also missing. Appearing after it are Drushim for Hanukkah.


The Holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura author of Abir Yaakov [1884-1961] the son of Rabbi Yisroel of Sadigura, a renowned Tzaddik. One of the prominent leaders of the worldwide Agudas Yisroel and one of the leaders of organized Charedi Jews. One of the greatest members of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and for as short while, served as its president. One of the founders of Charedi education in Israel who did much work to increase Torah and purity in Israel. Passed away in 1961 without Zera shel Kodesh.


[5], 9-64, [9] leaves. The title page at the beginning of the book and a leaf at the end are missing. Moth perforation. Blemished and detached binding. Wear. Some leaves are slightly worn. Fair condition.
