Early Manuscript by Maran the Chasam Sofer

Most early manuscript by Maran the Chasam Sofer, written by him when he was 23 years old, when he was Reish Metivta in Prostitz, studying with his Rav the holy Gaon Rabbi Nosson Adler.

The manuscript containing innovations on tractate Shabbat, the sugya of דנגר הנגרר, was written when he was Rosh Yeshiva in Prostitz, the first ofificial position that was held by Me'or Yisroel Maran the Chasam Sofer.

Rare and most special!

The Segulah of manuscripts by Maran the Chasam Sofer is well-known:

The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamloy wrote that all his words, sermons and Halachic and Aggadic innovations are full of sanctity and purity, Yiras Shamayim and Chassidus.

The holy Gaon the Maharam Benet said that looking at the Chasam Sofer's scripts is a Segulah for Yiras Shamayim.

And so it is told: Once, a halachic responsum from the Chasam Sofer was received by the Maharam Benet. He studied it for some time. When those around him asked whether he had found something requiring additional study in the responsum, he answered with a no yet added that he was studying the responsum because just looking at it was a Segulah for Yiras Shamayim (Foreword to Derashot Chasam Sofer, page 6).

The holy Rav Rabbi Yoel of Satmar also stated that just seeing the Chasam Sofer's script was a Segulah for Yiras Shamayim.

A single large leaf handwritten by him on both its sides (2 pp.). One passage was erased by him and then copied word for word later. A total of 45 lines. The edges have been slightly completed and restored. Good-very good condition.
