Lofty Manuscript Facts and Stories of Maran the Besht, Including Innovations that Have Never Been Printed

Important manuscript by the famed holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Margolis Rosh Av beis Din of Berditchev, who wrote what he had heard and received and most of it was printed in his composition Gedolim Ma'assei Tzaddikim. This manuscript contains many essential variations, both textual and in the order of the things and even new facts that have never been printed by Maran Or Shivas Hayamim.

The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Margolis Rosh Av Beis Din of Berditchev, who succeeded his father the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Nosson who received from his father the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Shmuel of Zolishtshik, who saw with his own eyes at Maran Or Shivas Hayamim the Ba'al Shem Tov. His brother was the famed holy Rav author of Meir Netivim. His first Sefer was Kevutzas Yaakov which was printed in Premishla in 1897 and in it he wrote what he heard from his father who heard and saw himself at Maran Or Shivas Hayamim the Ba'al Shem Tov.

Rabbi Yaakov Margolis was the son-in-law of the eldest son of the holy Rav the Mitteler Admor of Lubavich, the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Menachem Meniezhin.

The Tzaddik Gaon of Berditchev, like his father, was close to Ateres Tiferes Yisroel the holy Rav of Ruzhin and continued to follow his son the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham yaakov [the first] of Sadigura, where he was one of the greatest Chassidim and a Ba'al Toke'ah. In the following generation, he followed his son the holy Rav the Pachad Yitzchal of Boyan.

This manuscript was given as a gift by its writer the Tzaddik gaon rabbi Yaakov margolis himself to the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman of Sadigura, as he writes in the preface of his Sefer about the request of the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Bernyu to receive the manuscript and his encouraging the Tzaddik Gaon of Berditchev to print and publish it.

The Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yaakov Margolis printed the composition Kevutzas Yaakov, which is more famously known as Gedolim Ma'asei Tzaddikim in a slightly different version. This is an additional manuscript of the holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov Margolis of Berditchev, containing essential variations compared to the printed version.

The manuscript also includes 'a copying of Igeres Kodesh written by the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham of Kalisk to the holy Rav of Liadi". It also contains part of the list of Lavin according to the Rambam which is written in Sefer Kevutzas Yaakov. The list, however, is incomplete and does not include the Asin which were all printed in his Sefer Kevutzas Yaakov.
