Unique Collectible Item! Antique and Miniature Tefillin Batim, the Smallest in the World!

Unique collectible item! Miniature Tefillin Batim (cases), allegedly the smallest in the world. The size of the part called "ketzitzah" is only 0.6 cm! Width of all sides, according to 'Halacha LeMoshe MiSinai' that the square must be accurate and equal. The width of the base (Titura) is 1.5 cm and even with the extra extension (ma'avarta) does not exceed 2 cm.

The case of the Tefillin shel Yad is slightly larger, the ketzitzah almost 1 cm width, and the ma'avartaslightly more than 2 cm.

The parchment in the Tefillin cases, is the work of rare art and special technique, unknown these days, as the parchment is extremely thin, so that the Parshiot fit inside the minuscule Tefillin cases, written almost micro-graphic.

The Tefillin straps are curled up as original, and condition is fair, yet seem to be Kosher post factum. The strap knot (Kesher) of the 'Tefillin shel Rosh' is according the ruling of the Geonim and according to the 'Rosh', as was the tradition of the times of Rishonim and also as the Yemenite custom.

It is unknown if this miniature Tefillin was made out of necessity, due to persecution, inquisition, and raging storms in the world experienced by the Jews, or for other reasons.

Placed in a blue velvet bag, from more recent times, old and preserved. The owner's initials are embroidered on the velvet in Hebrew and a foreign language.

Physical condition fair, not verified if Kosher.
