Holy Letter by the Rebbe - Two Days before Receiving the Presidency - with Implied Reference to It

Two days before he became the Rebbe, on the 9th of Shevas 1951, the Rebbe writes a letter that was sent to the Chassid Rav Menachem Yisroel Malov and contains in implied reference to the acceptance of the upcoming presidency.

The letter was written on the stationery of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch (Central Organization for Education), which was used by the Rebbe before he assumed the leadership of Chabad, and its content is the regular one about the mentioning of the פ"נ at the gravesite and the elucidation on צדיקא דאיתפטר, דאשתכח מהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי.

The Rebbe added by his holy hand that he will mention the  פ"נ at the gravesite on the upcoming Yahrzeit.

The Rebbe added to the letter, by his holy hand, a special expression, which Chassidim noted is an implied reference to the acceptance of the presidency: 'It is a shame that he did not send the names of the Avrech with whom he studies and those he influences to be mentioned at the holy gravesite'. This matter of the Rebbe asking for additional names to be mentioned is a matter of Rebbes and presidency only.

In addition to this, the Rebbe added blessings to the members of the Chabura and signed awaiting good tidings'.

A special and touching letter!
