[1], 102, 105-106 leaves, 20 cm. New semi-leather binding with gilt lettering. On leaf 33, the signature of Rabbi Gershon Margolis of Skolit, integrated with the pagination of the leaf.
The Tzaddik gaon Rabbi Gershon ben Rabbi Ben-Zion Margolis (ca. 1770-1834) a disciple of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. Av Beis Din of Skolit and Zhitomir. A descendant of the Bach and the Maharal, a relative of Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margolis of Brod and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yissachar Dov Ber MiGeza Zvi Av Beis Din of Zlotchov author of :Mevasser Tzeddek" on the Torah and "Bas Ayin". The Sefer "Mevasser Tzeddek" was written by Rabbi Gershon Margolis, who every Sunday used to write down the Divrei Torah that his father-in-law said on Sabbath. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in ca. 1811, was the president of Kollel HaChassidim and passed away in Safed.
Aging stains, in some leaves, blemishes were restored affecting the text, some moth holes, good condition.
