"Please be kind to notify us in detail the condition of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer..." A Letter handwritten and signed by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Elchonon Bunim Wasserman, for the establishment of yeshivas and teaching Torah. Marienbad, shortly before the Holocaust. 


"Please be kind to notify us in detail the condition of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer..." A Letter by the Rabbi Elchonon Bunim Wasserman while he was staying at the "Golda Schlissel" Hotel in Marienbad, for suporting the travel expenses of Rabbi David of Mezerich for the establishment of a holy yeshiva. Later in the letter, Rabbi Elchonon Bunim takes interest in the condition of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski and asks to receive financial reports of his yeshiva and a general report from the committee of yeshivas. Marienbad, ca. 1938-1939.

Rabbi Elchonon Bunim Wasserman (1876-1941) a disciple of Rabbi Eliezer Gordon and Rabbi Shimon Shkop at the Telz Yeshiva and a disciple of the Chofetz Chaim at the Kollel LeLimud Kodashim in Radin. Was a renowned prodigy and famed in the world of Torah scholars. In 1903 he served as Ram in Amtshislov. In 1910, he served as Ram in Brisk. During World War I, he was asked by the Chofetz Chaim to manage the yeshiva in Smilovitz. In 1921, he established the "Ohel Torah" yeshiva in Baranovitz and also worked for the Jews in general. During the Holocaust, he was deported to the Kovno ghetto, where he was killed on Kiddush Hashem on the 11th of Tamuz 1941. 


Filing holes, fold marks, ink smearings, fair-good condition.
