"Since his holy Yeshiva is of great importance" letter by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz author of the Birkat Shmuel, Kemnitz, 1933.
In the letter which is addressed to the committee of yeshivas, the Gaon Rabbi Baruch Ber asks for financial support for his son-in-law the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Bernstein (eventually, the Rosh Yeshiva of the Kemnitz Yeshiva in Jerusalem) for establishing a yeshiva in Lunintz. Rabbi Baruch Ber himself transfered funds that he had received in support of his yeshiva to his son-in-law's yeshiva.
The Holy Gaon Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz (1870-1939), one of the greatest rabbis of his generation. Was a renowned merciful holy man. A leading disciple of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk, whom he followed all his days. In his youth, he established a Yeshiva in Kremenchog and headed it. In 1904, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva of the Knesset Beis Yitzchak Yeshiva which was established by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rabinowiyz the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor and the Rav of Kovna. Authored the Sefer Birkat Shmuel on the Shas and more.
