Extra small Sefer Torah. Sefaradi writing. Italy, beginning of the 18th century. The holy Sefer Torah is very light weight to hold and carry, very thin parchment, with special Italian processing technique. Beautiful miniature handwriting fitting two pages into one. The last words of the Torah 'לעיני כל ישראל' were written in a different handwriting as is the custom to finish at the time of the inauguration.
19 cm. height of parchment. 13 cm of writing. 50 engraved lines. About 37 cm. height including the handles (Atzai HaChaim). Some Yeruot faded from son, without damage to the text itself. Very good condition. Not sold as Kosher, but according to experts, it can be easily repaired to be a special kosher Sefer Torah.
The Sefer Torah is wrapped in an impressive new coat, with gold embroidered and a royal crown in the center. The Sefer Torah is placed in a small wooden Aron HaKodesh, about 63 cm. high, at the top carved wooden Star of David painted gold and decorated with a green flower (little faded).
