Asta Bidspirit | Miniature Wall Rug / Ornamental

Miniature Wall Rug / Ornamental Decorative Rug – Authentic Handwork (Karachi, Pakistan) - A miniature Oriental rug, richly colored, intended for use as a decorative wall hanging, table mat, or distinctive textile collectible. The rug was meticulously hand-woven in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, renowned for its quality carpet-weaving tradition, and incorporates traditional geometric motifs. The center of the rug features two large, stepped geometric medallions in vivid fiery red. The borders comprise a dense and intricate decorative lattice in shades of olive green, beige, Iv-ory, brown, and black. In one corner, within the green border, a word in Arabic/Persian script is woven as an integral part of the original weaving, attesting to the authenticity of the handwork. The rug is surrounded by dense, thick, light-colored fringe in traditional knotted work. On the reverse, an official German-language warranty label is preserved intact, confirming in handwriting that the rug was hand-woven, stating the city of origin (Karachi), and specifying the exact dimensions: 64 × 60 cm (excluding the fringe borders). In very good and complete condition; the wool/silk fibers are clean, soft, and very dense, retaining full color vibrancy with no signs of abrasion or tears. The fringe and the reverse label are well preserved.
