Asta Bidspirit | Complete Warehouse New Old Stock

Complete Warehouse New Old Stock (NOS) Lot from a General / Haberdashery and Cosmetics Store – Original Perfume Bottles (France/Japan), Fountain Pens, Pince-Nez Spectacles, Wooden Pipes, Pocket Watches, German Mechanical Hair Clipper, and Antique Leather Ball (1930–1960) - A monumental and wide-ranging wholesale collection presenting a crate filled with treasures, composed entirely of old warehouse stock (New Old Stock) that had been sealed and closed for many decades. The economic and museum value of the lot derives from its completeness and from the fact that all the cosmetics, smoking, writing, fashion, and haberdashery items have remained in their virgin packaging, with their original manufacturer's labels and factory threads, exactly as they left the production lines in Europe and Japan more than half a century ago. The collection presents a phenomenal variety of ”warehouse gems, ” including among others: A rare and extremely rare antique French perfume bottle known as Fleurs de Nice, made of faceted crystal in the Art Deco style and presented in its original colorful cardboard box, alongside a pair of antique sealed Japanese perfume sets by the brand S. Nonomura's in the Crab Apple fragrance (one of the bottles is broken and re-adhered). The writing section of the collection is represented by a number of luxury and entirely virgin Japanese fountain pens of the City-Car model, preserved in their original boxes. Lovers of fashion and historical memorabilia will find here two particularly rare surprises: a pair of original Pince-Nez spectacles from the early twentieth century preserved in good condition, alongside an antique sports ball (rugby/football) made of thick brown leather with authentic lacing. Also included are an original set of antique wooden pipes, a complete and impressive wholesale card of hairpins of the brand, an illustrated wooden box containing delicate white handkerchiefs with hand-embroidery decoration, a number of mechanical pocket watches in antique railway-watch designs, a manual mechanical hair clipper made in Germany (KID) in its original box, silver-toned metal boxes with massive Baroque engravings, and a rich stock of linen measuring tapes alongside small illustrated pocket mirrors. The lot is sold as a single unit in its as-is condition, as historical, commercial, and collectible material. The various items (pens, watches, the hair clipper, the syringe, and the contents of the bottles) have not been tested functionally or chemically by the auction house and are offered as display and collectible items only. The cardboard packaging, tissue papers, the leather ball, wooden objects, and fabric tapes show long-term storage wear, yellowing, creasing, signs of age, and light tears (as clearly visible in the photographs).
