Original Store Box of 12 ”Willson” (Willson, USA) Sunglasses – Old Warehouse Stock (NOS), Completely Sealed - An original cardboard display box from the well-known American optics and eyewear company Willson. Approximately mid-20th century. The package arrived from an old warehouse that had been sealed for many decades, and preserves within it one dozen (12 units) of fashionable sunglasses, model P15. A sample pair of the sunglasses can be seen upon opening the box for display and quality presentation purposes, while the remaining pairs await inside, packed and arranged exactly as they left the factory in the United States. The sunglasses feature a distinctly popular retro design: smooth, thick plastic frames in an elegant Iv-ory-white tone, and dark, quality lenses that retain their original luster. The outer cardboard box bears a striking nostalgic graphic illustration in green and burgundy, and is itself a wonderful display piece. On the right lenses of the sunglasses there is affixed an original period excise tax stamp showing the official tax amount — a fascinating historical testimony to the economic oversight of imported goods into the country. The lot is sold as is, as a fashion, nostalgia, and collectibles item. Although this is new, unused warehouse stock, due to the many decades of storage the outer cardboard box shows wear, light creases, and natural age marks (as visible in the photographs). 278 g.
