Collection of 5 Traditional Handmade ”Tubeteika” (Doppi) Skullcaps with Rich Suzani Embroidery – Uzbekistan/Bukhara - A colorful collection of 5 traditional ethnic skullcaps of the Tubeteika (Tubeteika / Doppi) type, associated with the fine handcraft tradition of Uzbekistan, Bukhara and Central Asia. Each cap in the lot is a genuine work of art, made from sturdy cotton fabric and featuring dense, rich and intricate hand embroidery in the traditional Suzani (Suzani) technique. The decorations present mesmerizing geometric patterns and traditional floral motifs in warm earth tones of mustard, ochre, wine, black, white and orange – a rare decorative style characteristic of the Khiva region and sub-regions of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The caps are semi-rigid in structure with padded seams and delicate internal quilting designed to maintain their raised form. The interiors display various interesting finishes – some lined with white cotton fabric and some with traditional striped fabric. Interior quilted finish. In very good condition, clean, well-preserved, and presenting vivid colors with no visible flaws. Diameter: 13–15 cm. 226 g.
