Photo of Nathan Bar Zakai during his Ottoman military service, 1916, with his handwritting on the reverse stating that the photo was sent to Eretz Israel Palestine, 15.1.1916. Good condition: stains on the reverse. Nathan Bar Zakai (1895-1990), was born in Eretz Israel, completed his high school studies in Constantinople
and served in the Turkish army from 1914 to 1918. In 1928 he began practicing law and until 1947 he served as president of the Tel Aviv District Court.
