M. Publishing House "Nedra", (Mospoligraf), 1925. - 160 p. Hardcover, blind, owner's cover, without saving the publisher's cover, in the usual format (15.5 x 23 cm). Extremely careless restoration of the title page and pages [with paper]; when binding, some pages were glued together more than required for binding; temporary and everyday stains on the pages; the last sheet was torn out, has losses on the spine side and glued to the block with paper tape with the text overlapping.

[The first book of M. A. Bulgakov and, in fact, his only book published during his lifetime in the USSR. Shortly after its publication, the circulation of the Diaboliad was confiscated and most likely destroyed. Apparently, the confiscation was regarded as erroneous, since the second edition was published in April 1926.]
