רבי דון יהודה אַבְּרַבַנְאֵל היה רב, רופא, פילוסוף יהודי ומשורר, בספרות העולמית נודע בשם לאונה אבראו. 1464-1530
נולד בפורטוגל, גורש יחד עם הקהילה היהודית לאיטליה שם כתב דיאלוגים על אהבה.
עבודתו בנויה כשיחה בין החכמה לאהבה שהם שנים המרכיבים, לדעתו, את הפילוסופיה.
הוא מטפל במקומה של האהבה, האוניברסליות שלה וההבדל בין אהבה לתשוקה.
