Community Silver Kiddush Cup. Moscow, 1898
Rare Kiddush Cup from the Sinagoga na Sretenke (Synagogue on Sretenke) with dedications and an illustration of the synagogue. Signed and dated to 1898.
Special and important cup made in Russia in the late 19th century, with Russian hallmarks. On one side of the cup, a fine delicate engraving of floral motifs and a dove with an olive branch. 'Shabbat Kodesh' in Russian fonts is written in the center.
On the other side of the cup, a rare and special engraving of the structure of the synagogue with stars-of-David and an engraving that reads 'Sinagoga na Sretenke in 1898'.
On the base of the cup and on its upper edge, two hallmarks from 1896.
