Sefer Yesod: The Rambam's Moreh Nevuchim- Venice [1551]
First Edition of Sefer Moreh Nevuchim with Commentaries- Complete and Especially Fine Copy. Sefer Yesod

Moreh Nevuchim, Rabbeinu the Rambam's famed work dealing with the principles of the Jewish religion and faith, with the Shem Tov commentary and the HaEfodi commentary.

Sefer Moreh Nevuchim was printed only once, in the earliest stages of printing - an incunabulum, in Rome during the years ca. 1469-1474, without any commentary. This is the first edition with its leading commentators: a commentary by Rabbi Shem Tov ben Rabbi Yosef and the HaEfodi commentary by Rabbi Yitzchak Duran, Klalei Pirkei Hamoreh by Rabbi Yehuda Alharizi and an elucidation of the difficult words by the translator Rabbi Shmuel ibn Tibbon.
On the second leaf, there is a handwritten gloss.

Venice, [1551]. Bragadin Press. First edition of Sefer Moreh Nevuchim with commentaries.
[12], 185, [1] leaves. 30 cm. Very good condition. Several moth perforations to the margins. Bright quality paper. Bound in a fine, new brown leather binding.
