Korban Aharon. Venice, [1609-1611]

First Edition of Sefer Yesod.

Sefer Korban Aharon, the fundamental commentary on the Sifra (Torah Cohanim), by Rabbi Aharon ibn Chaim. At the beginning of the book (leaf 5-37a): Brayta DeRabbi Shmuel on the 13 Midot SheHaTorah Nidreshet Bahen , with the Midot Aharon commentary.

On the title page, there are ownership notations and signatures in ancient Sephardic script, including a fine curly signature – not identified, seems important.

On verso of the title page, there is a handwritten comment. And on leaf 2, there is a blurred curly Sephardic signature.

Venice, [1609-1611], Juan di Gara Press. First edition. Sefer Yesod.
On the title page, the year is [1609]; on the colophon at the end of the book, a different year" [1610-1611].
139, 302, [4] leaves. 28.5 cm. Good condition. Taping and restoration to the edge of the title page. Some moth perforation. Quality paper. Fine new leather binding.
