Shut by Rabbi Yitzchak Adarbi, one of the leading rabbis of Salonika. A disciple of Rabbi Yosef Taitazak. Second precise edition.


The sharp opponent of his yeshiva-mate Rabbeinu the Maharshadam, the book's title, Divrei Rivot, reflecting this fact. The two rabbis, the Maharshadam and Rabbi Yitzchak Adarbi headed important yeshivas in Salonika.


Second edition of the Shut book by one of the leading rabbis of Salonika. Precise edition that was published five years only after the previous one.

Throughout the book, many stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Gedalya Shmelkes (1859-1928):
one of the leading rabbis of his time. Served as the Rav of Kolomyia and succeeded his uncle, the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Shmelkes author of the Beit Yitzchak, as Av Beit Din of Premishla. His Chidushim were published in the book Imrei Regesh [=Rabbi Gedalya Shmelkes].

Ownership notations on the title page in Sephardic script - – "הצעיר יצחק בכ"ר...". Corrections and glosses throughout the book (over 10).

Rabbi Yitzchak Adrabi [ca. 1520-1572]: one of the rabbis of Salonika. Studied under Rabbi Yosef Taitazak alongside the Maharshadam. At a young age was appointed Rav and headed the Kehal Shalom Sephardic community. Was an opinionated Av Beit Din and due to disputes with other rabbis, he titled his book 'Divrei Rivot'. Author of Divrei Shalom containing thirty sermons [Salonika, 1580].
