Ben Shmuel comprises of 30 sermons for special Shabbatot, Holidays and joyous occasions. Authored by Rabbi Shmuel di Medinah, The MaHarshdam. With preface by the author’s grandson, and two poems.

On the back endpaper appears 6 handwritten lines of text.

Rabbi Shmuel di Medinah (1506-1589) was a leading Torah scholar of Salonika, and lived during the era of Rabbi Yosef Karo. He was a disciple of Rabbi Yosef Taichak and Rabbi Levi Chaviv, the MaHarlbach. Rabbi Shmuel is famed for his composition of responsa, Shu”t MaHarshdam on the four sections of The Tur.
