Mesillat Yesharim by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato. Mantua, 1781.
Mesillat Yesharim focusing on topics on ethics and fear of G-d. Authored by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato, The Ramchal.
Despite the reference to the Ramchal on the title page as if he is alive, (נר"ו), this book was printed following his passing in 1746.
The title page also states: “Now due to its import and benefit, it has been printed a second time.” In fact, this is the fourth edition of this book!
Owner’s signature on the title page: “Yehudah Aryeh Leib Friedman”.
Mantua, 1781. Printed by Eliezer Shlomo of Italy. Printing is based on the Amsterdam, 1740 edition with the omission of the introductions, the poems and the “Chatimah”.
35, 39-49 leaves. Approx. 17 cm. Very good condition.
Particularly beautiful copy: Quality, light-colored paper. Magnificent and impressive new, blue binding.
