The book features the signature of the Chatam Sofer’s student, who was ordained by him to be a Rav and Posek - Rabbi Yosef Shmuel HaLevi, Av Beit Din in Trencin. Also has signature of his father, Rabbi Yechezkel Segal, Av Beit Din in Unsdorf and Trencin.
Rabbi Aharon Yosef Shmuel HaLevi (1806-1886): student of Rabbi Elazar Loew, author of “Shemen Rokeach” of Santov. Rabbi Aharon Yosef was a son-in-law of the Shemen Rokeach’s son, Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Loew, author of “Sha’arei Torah”. He was ordained for the Rabbinate by the “Chatam Sofer”, who addressed a few responsa to him (Shu”t Chatam Sofer, Yoreh De’ah, siman 179 and siman 304). He aided his father, Rabbi Yechezkel HaLevi, as Rav and Posek in the city Trencin, and in 1839 he was appointed Rav of the city, at the behest of the Chatam Sofer.
