Letter From Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook to his Father. Jerusalem, 1923. Fascinating and Emotive Letter.
This unique letter is handwritten and signed by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook, Chief Rabbi of Israel. It is addressed to his father, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman HaKohen Kook.

In his correspondence, Rabbi Kook apologizes to his father for his delay in writing, due to many commitments. He relates that he is gladdened to hear of his father’s improved health and blesses him with full recovery.

Rabbi Kook further writes about financial matters. He also writes that his brothers too, should correspond with their father, and expresses his gladness that they and their mother are in good health.
Rabbi Kook concludes the letter with many warm blessings and signs his name.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Kook (1844-1929) was famed for his scholarship and kindness, as well his love of the Land of Israel. In 1911, following his son’s appointment as Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman also immigrated to the Holy Land,
Jerusalem, 1923.
