Selichot for Women Translated into Yiddish. Amsterdam, 1688.
Seder Selichot for the month of Elul and the High Holidays translated into Yiddish by Rabbi Elyakim, son of Rabbi Yaakov Shatz of Komarna.

On the last page is an approbation from the Rabbis of Amsterdam. As stated in the approbation, the translation is helpful for women and laymen who are not well versed in the Hebrew language.

First publication of Rabbi Elyakim's translation. This translation was reprinted many times and served as the basis for many translations.

Magnificent title page, comprised of seven magnificent miniature wood engravings depicting stories of Tanach. Two of these are connected to women (Miriam, sister of Moshe, and Tzipporah, wife of Moshe).

On the endpaper is a handwritten female ownership listing: "Sara, daughter of the deceased honorable Katriel… wife of the deceased honorable Leib…"
