Silver Hanukkah Lamp. Vienna, ca. 1900.
A lovely silver Hanukkah lamp crafted in Vienna. The lamp is adorned in its center with two compelling animal figures, reminiscent of dragons.
The structure of the menorah is very unusual and special. Its base is rounded and flat, giving way to a delicate central stem comprised of four thin and uniform silver cylinders. A row of rounded oil containers tops the lamp, and is supported by the two dragon-like figures that add such beauty and interest to this unique piece of Viennese Judaica.
Silver marks from the city of Vienna appear on the lamp's foot.
