Copy Belonging to Rabbi Nachim Dober Friedman of Sadigur.

Chovot Halevavot, Volume 1 and 2, authored by the great sage Rabbeinu Bachaye.

With signatures and stamps of “Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman of Sadigur”.
The Rabbi of Sadigur received this book from a Jew names “Avraham Yitzchak son of Rivkah. It is signed with the holy stamp “Minchat Shai”.

Rabbi Nochum Dober Friedman (1860-1883) was the son of Rabbi Shalom Yosef of Ruzhin and son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Yakov of Sadigur. Rabbi Nachum was a genius in Torah and Chassidut. He immersed himself in study in the Sadigur Chassidic Court of his father-in-law. His vast library included rare books and valuable manuscripts, and was one of the most famed and prominent libraries of his era. Rabbi Nachum would categorize and stamp his books with one of the three following category stamps: “Minchas Shai”, “Yerushat Avot” or “Kinyan Kaspi” (Gift, Inherited from Ancestors or Purchased.)
