Ittur Bikurim. Commentary on the Ba’al HaTurim. Furth, 1751. With Author’s Handwritten Dedication.
The book, Itur Bikurim is a commentary on the Ba’al HaTurim on the Torah. Authored by the Furth community’s cantor, Rabbi Baruch ben Elkana.

The Ba’al HaTurim commentary by Rabbi Yaakov, is one of the fundamental and most studied commentaries on the Pentateuch.
The Ittur Bikurim commentary elaborates on the Ba’al HaTurim which is often written extremely succinctly and concisely.

On the title page appears a rare, handwritten dedication by the author, Rabbi Baruch son of Elkana: “ When I passed here in the holy community of Kassel…that the truth not be missing, I etched in pen and lead, for it to be a remembrance. Until the coming of the Messiah. This book which I authored in good faith…his sword shall be straightened and his strength should increase… and I gave him a gift and souvenir as my signature proves…on Erev Rosh Chodesh Tammuz 5512…son of my father Elkana, Shatz Neuburg?... Here, Kassel…”
