Rabbi Asher Yechezkel Landa Segal, the Noda BiYehuda was one of the greatest European Rabbis of all time. His outstanding genius was apparent from a young age, and already at age 20 he was appointed as Av Bet Din of Brody.
In he was appointed as Chief Rabbi of Prague, a position he held until his passing in 1793. During his tenure he authored ruling on all areas of Halacha, as appears in this book. The Noda BiYehuda had to deal with many serious and complex matters of his generation relating to the onset of the Haskala. He also had to deal many suspicions and accusations of Sabbatean leanings that were launched against many Torah sages of that time, as well as the famed controversial get (divorce document) of Kilvo.
