On the endpage (Vorsatz) is a dedication penned in Rabbi Dessler’s holy handwriting, addressed to his student Rabbi Meir HaKohen.

Rabbi Dessler, was one of the prominent students of the yeshiva of Kelm. He relocated to London and served as a halachic authority. He declined an offer to serve as a Rabbi in Vilna. In the early 1940’s he became head of the Kollel inGateshead, Uk.
In the late 1940’s he moved to e to the Holy Land. It was here that he authored his magnum opus 'Michtav Me'eliyahu', and served as the mythological Mashgiach of the Ponevezh Yeshivah, Bnei-Brak.
