Excellent condition. Exceptionally thick paper with wide margins. Half the binding is new leather.
Cover page includes signature of HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Chazan; born in Izmir, circa 1845-8. Ordained for the Rabbinate by his grandfather Rabbi Chaim David Chazan. Rabbi Eliyahu was the Rabbi of Tripoli, and then the ‘Chacham Bashi’ of Alexander. He authored the book ‘Zichron Yerushalayim, Taalumot Lev’ – 4 volumes. He published many articles in the ‘Peles’. Died 1908.
