The work comes from the collection of the artist's family.
Soifertis Leonid Vladimirovich (1911, Kharkov – 1996, Moscow).
The corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of RSFSR (since 1966). The People’s Artist of RSFSR (1982). A graphic artist. He studied in the Kharkov artistic institute (1928-1930), at the department of artist training by the Moscow State Artistic Institute, the classes by А.А. Radakov, P.I. Lvov, М.S. Rodionov. He co-operated with magazines Smena, Ogoniok and Krokodil (since 1934). The author of series «The Sevastopol Album» (1941 – 1942), «Sports» (1967 –1970), «New Districts of Moscow» (1970’s). A participant of numerous exhibitions. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Leningrad, Belgrade (1967). L.V. Soifertis’s works are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery, Moscow Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
