An interesting letter in the handwriting and signature of Prof. Joseph Klausner in which he addressed to Rabbi Kook to send students from his yeshiva to Come and learn at the university, Tevet, 1931.

After Prof. Klausner received a letter from the 'Mercaz HaRav' Yeshiva requesting it to be donated to the Yeshiva, Klausner decided to contact directly with Rabbi Kook. After an apology that his financial situation does not allow him to donate because his home and treasury books Destroyed, and due to his financial debt At the time, Prof. Klausner finds a place to try to convince Rabbi Cook to send students from his Yeshiva to come and learn at the university on various claims. "In our university, Torah scholars ... are few ... the The desire to change Yeshivah students to atheists has stopped within us ... Our university has complete pious such as Prof. Klein, Rabbi Assaf, and Prof. Frankel, and more. And why won't the students of the central yeshiva fill the gap at our university?". Klausner also adds that he heard that students from 'Merkaz Yeshiva' were trying to visit the university and were banned from visiting. "I think this is a gross error, 'mystery bread will be stolen and stolen water will sweeten', and Whatever they ban, they will secretly do" Klausner adds, convincing that university studies do not touch the Talmud or the Bible. "But it hurts my heart that we are neglecting a good opportunity to unite Torah scholars with science knowledgeavers and give a good hope to devoted Judaism and to renew the great days of Rabbi Saadia Gaon, Rabbi Samuel Hanagid and Maimonides in Hebrew in Eretz Yisrael ..." And ask to visit him one day to talk about it..
