Toldot Yitzchak, Chassidic essays on the Torah, on the Jewish Holidays Compilation of things about on the Shas and Tehillim, by Rebbe Yitzchak Shapira of Neshchiz (Niesuchojeże). Warsaw, 1868. First edition. Two title pages - the first one in gold ink, as well as the title of approbations.


With approbations of leading Chassidic rebbes, the Divrei Chaim of Tsanz, the Maggid of Trisk, Rebbe Yehoshua of Ostrova and Rebbe Elimelech of Grodzisk. On the title page, the publisher wrote: 'Because we all knew we could not describe the greatness and sanctity of Maran ZL and especially Hetyot like myself could not write even some of his praise. That is why I only read on behalf of "the Admor", etc., because the silence When it comes to it is the glory. The book was printed from Torah words that the Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Neshchiz said in his last year as a kind of 'will for generations' and which were given to his student publisher the book Rabbi Yitzchak Landa who wrote them. And, as the genius of from Trisk writes in his approbation: "And here are the words of this holy book need not be strengthened because all his words came out in holy and purified distilled seven times as given from Sinai and especially in the year that went up to heaven." Also, Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova wrote in his agreement: "I would occasionally went to shade of the honor, and in the last year before he passed away, Order Rabbi Yitzchak Landa to write his holy words". Rabbi Elimelech of Grodzisk writes: "The great of the author's attribution became known in Judea and Israel, and he was obliged to write his sacred remarks at the last year of his life in order to leave a blessing among Israel." And add: "of all our brethren, the house of Israel, every one ought to bring this holy book in his house for his safeguard blessing".


Rebbe Yitzchak of Neshchiz (1868-1789) was the youngest son of Rebbe Mordechai of Neshchiz. A close disciple of R. Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, he married his granddaughter and transmitted many Torah thoughts in his name. He was also a disciple of R. Baruch of Medzhybizh and of the Chozeh of Lublin. Appointed Rebbe at a young age, he held this position for over sixty years. He was a pilgrimage center for many who visited his residence from all diaspora for blessing and salvation. He was revered by all sects of Chassidism for his holiness and exceptional piety, and as one "who facilitates the flow of Heavenly bounty to the entire Jewish people" (as stated in a letter by R. Baruch Shapira, prominent Chassid of the Peshischa and Kotsk dynasties). His renowned disciples include: Rebbe Elimelech of Grodzisk, Rebbe Yaakov Tzvi of Parysów and others.
