The Amsterdam [Utrecht] Bible - 1705 - Part I


Second edition with additions, of the Bible published by Rabbi Joseph Attias in the year 1660, together with Calvinist theologian Johan Lesden, Amsterdam [Utrecht] 1705. Part II: Genesis II - Kings II. Two title pages.


First edition of the Bible in Hebrew with numbering of the verses. Opening remarks in Latin by Everardo van Hooft, source edition of all Bible editions printed after it, with additions to the previous editions.

Latin consents from academic scholars in the Netherlands (Leiden, Franeker, Utrecht, Groningen, Harderwijk, Deventer). At the end of the book is a reading list between the patterns of Atyash, Bomberg, Stefanos, Plenty and others.
