David Ben-Gurion's book, "Memoirs", published by Am oved in 1971. On the title page, a dedication in Ben-Gurion's handwriting and signature In his final year: "To Shlomo Zemach my friend for a long road that we did together and much more the way before us. D. Ben Gurion' and the date: '17.3.73.'
Recipient of the book author Shlomo Zemach [1886-1974], one of the first second Aliyah, Bialik Prize winner for fine literature, and Ben Gurion's old friend. The relationship of the two knew ups and downs.
In 2006, literary researcher Nurit Govrin published an article in "HaAretz" newspaper in which she described the rival societies that have existed between Ben-Gurion and Zemach since their childhood together in Plonsk and throughout their lives. In 2010, Aryeh Budenheimer's book "Due to the Friend from Plonsk" was published, which tells the story of Shlomo Zemach, including the story of friendship and controversy with David Ben-Gurion.
