A SET OF TWO LARGE DINNER DISHES MADE OF ENGLISH PORCELAIN, USED BY SIR MOSES MONTEFIORE AND BEARING THE MONTEFIORE CREST. WORCESTER C. 1820.
The dishes are decorated with turqoise and gold decorations around the edges, and the Montefiore crest, including the motto ‘Think and Thank’, is in the centre.
This set was used by Sir Moses and the Montefiore Family.
Sir Moses and Lady Judith Montefiore, great British philanthropists who devoted their lives to improving the conditions of Jews around the world through their generosity and political intervention.
