Pilichowski - Born in Poland, a realistic Polish Jewish painter who worked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1894 he settled in Lodz and began to paint the life of the Jews in the industrialized environment. He introduced hawkers, immigrants, exhausted Jews at the train stations, and mourners at funerals. He also became known in the Jewish prayer paintings. In 1908, Pilichowski began painting Zionist leaders' portraits. In 1925 he visited Eretz Israel and created a monumental painting depicting the opening ceremony of the Hebrew University - a group portrait which included himself. Died in London in 1934. His works can be found in exhibitions The permanent museum of the Krakow Warsaw National Museum and the Lodz City Museum. important work of him - "Sukkot" display at the New York Jewish Museum.
